The Women’s Center has grown into a multi-faceted social service organization that serves the community’s most vulnerable men and women, children and families, while guiding and educating the community-at-large to create systemic change and reform. To be most effective, we must position ourselves to anticipate, as well as satisfy, the needs and requirements of our community.

CAMPAIGN GOALS

In our 45th year, the Women’s Center seeks to raise $6M to build a new transitional residential facility, fund new positions, strengthen the Center’s outreach to the communities it serves, and grow as one of the sole providers of crisis services in the greater Danbury area.

WHY WE GAVE: DONORS’ STORIES

HELP US REACH OUR GOAL: WAYS TO GIVE

Gifts can be made in the form of a one-time gift, a pledge of up to three years, or in any other allocation you desire.
We are prepared to receive various forms of payments, including checks or appreciated stocks.

Cash/Check
Checks should be made out to the Women’s Center and sent to our headquarters: 2 West Street, Danbury, CT 06810

Appreciated Securities
A gift of long-term appreciated securities entitles the donor to tax deduction for the full market value of the donated stock, without having to recognize the capital gain.

Corporate Matching Gifts
These can double or even triple the impact of your gift. Many companies participate in gift matching programs for employees and their families by matching gifts on a dollar-per-dollar basis. Please check with your Human Resources department or Charitable Giving/Grants Department for the correct forms.

To discuss other sources of giving such as a legacy gift or to arrange a gift of appreciated securities, please contact
Samantha Conetta Flynn, Development Director at (203) 731-5200, ext. 237 or Samantha.f@wcogd.org
