The Women’s Center offers numerous programs around sexual harassment, domestic violence and other topics of interest to professionals in the corporate workplace.
Sexual Harassment Solutions for Managers
This two hour certificate program meets CT state requirements for manager training. Participants learn about the legal definitions of sexual harassment, how to create a safe environment for themselves and their employees, how to conduct and document an investigation, and what can be done to aid victims in the workplace and intervene with perpetrators.
Fee: $500 (up to 25 participants; $25 for each additional participant.)
Sexual Harassment Solutions for Employees
This is a two-hour non-certificate program. Participants learn about sexual harassment laws, the effect it has on victims, victim grievance procedures, reparations, victim rights during and after an investigation, and how to manage safety and recovery.
Fee: $300 (up to 25 participants; $25 for each additional participant)
Domestic Violence in the Workplace for Managers
Training includes dynamics and impact of domestic violence, identifying and responding to victims, safety planning in the workplace, and victim rights in the workplace. This two hour program follows the same fee structure as above.
Domestic Violence in the Workplace for Employees
This workshop covers much the same information included in the manager training but from the perspective of a co-worker interested in supporting the victim. This program is FREE.
Brown Bag Lunch Series
These 45 minute presentations are intended for workplace programs that allow employees to voluntarily attend workshops of personal interest during their lunch hour. These programs are FREE. Topics include but are not limited to:
